-Note to Reader- BACKGROUND on Paradei

Life for the Living is ParaCorp’s well-known motto, and the corporation stands behind it rather aggressively. Paradei believes vampires are abominations who threaten human existence, and proclaim that the only way to be free of the disease; is to eradicate the parasite entirely. They kill bloodfeeders regardless of alignment, and one day hope to develop a way to drive them to extinction. More dangerous yet, they instill anti-vampire regulations in Reliance, prohibiting civilians from associating with or aiding any vampires on penalty of exorbitant fines and even imprisonment. Humans caught fraternizing with a member of a vampire sect, particularly Blood Sanct, are often captured and interrogated for information.

Originally Paradei was as a religious organization specializing in the training and funding of vampire slayers, but theyve since expanded into a viable reckoning force in Reliance. When Blood Sanct rose to power, human support in ParaCorp swelled exponentially, and now the massive corporation controls almost every human facet in Reliance. Because of its large number of responsibilities, ParaCorp is separated in four major divisions, each with its own head but all under the reign of the mysterious and elusive Paradei CEO.

Paradei Legal, Financial, and Public Relations Offices (ParaDem):
ParaDem is the division that primarily deals with civilians. Not only does ParaDem handle media coverage and diplomacy with governmental forces and other companies, but it also oversees ParaCorps finances, takes care of legal proceedings, and monitors the citizens; overall view of the corporation. Oftentimes ParaCorp participates in and funds charity events to help aid civilians, and these occurrences fall under ParaDems jurisdiction as well.

Perhaps the most significant task of ParaDem is the responsibility of establishing the strict anti-vampire regulations of Reliance. Lawyers are important to ParaDem, both to represent the company in legal affairs and to prosecute those who fail to adhere to ParaDem regulations. Employees include accountants, reporters, journalists, diplomats, attorneys, ect.

ParaDem works closely with ParaLux, but remains largely independent of ParaDev and ParaWard.<lucidagrande>

It had been one of those rare occasions that Dr. Sene Haruna had actually made it home, a very rare excursion for the man who was claimed to "never exist". Of course, being so unuse to the comforts of a prime newly made bed, he had claimed to the slumber of the floor, and even that had escaped him. He could never sleep with a mind half full of thoughts, nor that of a half-full bottle of red wine that was clutched between his hands as he sat against the wall of his room, underneath the blocked out window. It seemed humorous as he studied his appearance in that of the mirror opposite. His pale complexion, so much like that of the undead. Then there was that of his golden eyes, of which his glasses sat next to his foot where he had pulled them off in haste of watching the moon. He had always been asked whether he wore contacts, how despicable, Haruna would never wear something fake, not even a tattoo touched his form, all marks upon him had their own meanings and stories which he kept to himself and his lost dead wife. He need not to be bothered by anyone who claimed to understand. A dark laugh escaped the doctors lips as he lifted the red wine bottle to his lips, the wine was warm, how he liked it, as he allowed the hot spicy liquid to slip down his throat, burning raw as it did, as golden eyes caressed his features in the mirror. How ironic how he should look so much like a full grown vampire when he was only human. It did make you wonder. Hell, it made him wonder, about a lot of things. After all was there a test you could take yet that told you whether you were an immortal or not, or a lie tester or survey? Ha! He was ridiculing himself, almost so much so putting himself onto the chopping block. Gold flicked down as his hands slipped up the dark tinted glasses as he slipped them over his eyes, protecting them from the harsh light outside and protecting him from views of others, although he would rightly put them into their places if he did.

What would his ex- wife say of him now, there would be no way that his mother would be proud, she never really stood up for revenge. Although to Haruna it was more like avenging his 'dead' wife and her other sadistic pig of an arranged husband. Well now, he wasn't much different from that now himself, was he? Except for without the 'pig' part, oh he was more twisted and manipulative than any common pig. Ouch, had he just insulted a high vampirian Lord, oh deary me, was he going to come back and beat the crap out of Haruna again, no that would just highlight the fact that the 'high and mighty vampire' was unable to kill him. Again, humorous to Haruna as he stood. Sadistic Bastard.

Clearing his throat he turned towards the curtained window, tilting his head to the side, so that a slit of sunshine fell upon a line of his face. Rearranging his attire, he changed his clothing, it to something simple yet elegantly inclined. He had taste after all, like any vampire. Hell now he was referring to himself as a vampire? whatever next, start drinking blood? He laughed then, a laugh that nearly made him fall over as he clutched his stomach. Perhaps it was the wine?....nah. Placing down the bottle, he exited his apartment, location unknown. Even though that was pointless seeing as 1. He never really lived there except for the odd occasion 2. Any vampire or other looking for him, if determined would find him anyway 3. he didn't really care, he liked it that way, sadistic him. 4. It was his personal gain to get closer to vampires, close enough to kill the one who killed his wife. 5. They were family, vampires that is. But it was company policy. what company? well ParaCorp of course, why no other. Dr. himself did his duty like any soldier in the ParaDev department, as if you hadn't figured that out already.. bit slow aren't we?

He walked through a main street of Reliance City, he was aware of the time, too aware in fact. His eyes adjusted behind his glasses, and for once he felt in his element, though he best not indulged as he looked up at the sky, the Harvesters would be let out today, and any vampirian suspect would be brought down by the pack, and he had no intention of being one, no matter how tempting the thought of being slowly ripped to pieces appealed to the tall male. He walked on, noting people shutting up their stalls, some even locking their houses with panels of wood, all unnecessary, any Harvester who wanted to enter would enter. Simple fact. There was no way of stopping them, well there was to a degree, but that information wasn't within the public eye. Talking about eyes, Haruna could feel that he was being watched, it seemed funny how he could sense things as such, like he could mostly sense danger also, which had saved him many a times in the past. Perhaps he had fine attuned senses, he was unsure, but it made others to distinguish between the vampire and human line within him. He had yet to find a mass vampirian blood in his system from that almost fatal bite mark years ago. Only to find his own blood trapping it away from his heart. So he knew it was there, circling his bloodstream, but he bothered no one with this information, after all, he was the doctor. A ringed finger delved into the pocket of his trousers as he neared ParaCorps doors, as he showed his card to security, before it disappeared in a flash, the act was so quick to the eyes, as Haruna did not wait to be allowed to proceed, he simply opened the glass door, a slight grimance on his face as he entered the building.

His tall dark form sort of always gave him an entrance as he changed into a white lab coat, his name on its breast pocket, as it fell over his normal clothes. He ignored that of greetings, as he pulled up his head to stand as he walked through the lobby, his feet tapping on the polished floor. He seemed to move as if nobody was in his way, nobody even came close in range to touch him as he moved forward, as he made his way up a few flights of stairs, taking many at a time in his stride, until he made it to the medical hall or 'section'. He could of taken the lift, but he didn't like the fact of being close to someone like sardines, he would probably end up suffocating them by the end of it. So he had taken the stairs, walking along the corridor he passed many medics who bowed their heads to him or made some respective gesture or another, after all he was classed as the Head Doctor of the 'medical' section of ParaDev, who if needed would consult with the Head of ParaDev, or indeed that of the CEO or ParaDev. A mysterious ally no doubt, that Haruna wanted to get close to than no other. What he could achieve at that mans/womans side. There was no doubt he had the mind for it, he just simply had declined the offer of being Head of ParaDev because he preffered not to mix with that of people, and it would do no good for his plans, it would just cause unnecessary work and hassle that he could do without. Weaving webs took concentration and hell of a lot of Time.

Pushing open the heavy sound proof tight doors he walked in, sliding his card through a key slot, another door opened, and he walked through, noticing as people looked up from their various desks, and offices, and those who were mulling and walking around, tentative at work. May if not nearly all said something in greeting to him, or a compliment. ' my bitches' he thought, and walked down the main walkway between the isles of desks and placed his hand in a DNA sampling screen, allowing him access to the next door as he opened it. This was the main laboratory, as he walked through a small room with coats, gloves and other protection wear, and into a main hospital clinical room of tiles and counters, along with various scientific appliances. To the right of the room was another room that held experiments in various jars, to the left was the operation room, where experiments were given, as well as any actual doctoring needs, such as healing others. Next to that room was Harunas office, as he entered the room. He looked down at his desk as he overlooked a couple of new files that had been dropped onto his desk. There was no need to look at his schedule, he knew it off by heart in his head, a few notes notified him of possible changes, or events that were not regular. Like keeping track of certain Harvesters progressions. All the doctors had a few they checked up on, making sure they were in good health, and not prone to injury, and also to check behaviour patterns, and of course no weaknesses. They did this every afternoon before night on a Black Noct, if any Harvester was unsatisfactory, they would be pulled out of the hunt, after all if one failed, the others would either dispose of it (a.k.a eat it. He knew one in particular who would do this), or seek revenge. And it was really time consuming if the Harvesters got sidetracked with an extra killing, as it would lead to damage control issues, that were none of his business, really. Besides, he knew that they all wouldn't mind extra killings on Black Noct. Everyone was warned, wasn't they? So it was their own damn fault if they became a Harvesters next toy or meal.

A creepy smile spread across the doctors face as he played with his lip ring as he exited his office once more, he had been summoned like every day to the progress room, where the harvesters were checked on upon. A dangerous game, for such a, in comparison, small society of humans against that of an immortal race. It made his mind turn for hours on end of who's side he belonged, and who pulled the strings. His reliance leaned to no one in particular it seemed, he was perhaps as bad as a Dhamphir, belonging to neither group, perhaps that's how he always got along with both groups, or so he had been told. It was funny how the unsociable man could make friends within two groups which couldn't find any harmony together, interesting was it not?

very good, sounds perfessional ^^
Where did you get the picture btw? I know you can't have drawn it because you don't possess a tablet but the characters share the same name, useful coincidence ^^
